Congratulations Whaea Barb!

It is with much excitement and pleasure that our Principal, Barbara Ala'alatoa, has been awarded the Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit (MNZM) for Services to Education.

As a school we are very proud and honoured to have such an outstanding Principal as Whaea Barb.

Thank you for the "window of opportunity' that you provide our life long learners.  Keep shaping the future, Whaea Barb, we're so lucky to have you at our school.

New classrooms!

You may have noticed a few new things that came on a big truck last week and were placed into the school grounds....

We're growing so fast that we need some extra space for classrooms.  They are only temporary, we are planning to have our very own brand new block of classes ready for the beginning of next year but we couldn't wait that long.

These classes will soon be giving lots of kids the space they need - we can't wait to see them buzzing with learning like our other classrooms!

Welcome back!

Kia ora, Talofa lava, Mālō e lelei,  hi everyone!  Welcome back for another great year of learning at Sylvia Park School.  It's going to be another busy one with lots of things happening so keep an eye on this space to find out what the Board of Trustees is up to.

Sausages!

Thanks for coming over with your kids to pick up your sausages after your three way conferences today.  It was really great to meet so many of you.
